Introducing top-up requests: help from your people, in a tap
Energywallet Team30 September 20261 min read
We've all been there: fuel running low, a bill due before payday, a hospital visit nobody planned for. Usually it means a phone call, an account number sent over WhatsApp, and a friend typing it all in by hand.
Top-up requests make that moment simpler.
How it works
Pick someone you've sent money to or received money from, enter the amount, and send. They see your name and the amount, and can accept or decline straight from the request. Accepting opens Send with everything filled in. They confirm, enter their PIN, and the money lands with you.
Built with care
- Requests only go to people you've already transacted with.
- Declining is private. Nobody gets an awkward notification.
- Requests expire after 24 hours.
- Anyone who feels a request is off can report it and block the sender.
Because a community works best when helping each other is easy, and saying no is easy too.
